Hope is not a good strategy I guess.

Purdue brought their hitting shoes and are hitting the ball HARD.

6-0 Purdue.

Heading to the bottom of the 4th.

The iowa RF'er does not have his sunglasses pulled down and drops a routine fly ball in foul territory

Good grief.

This time it does not cost us.

7-4 Purdue

Heading to the bottom of 7th

another pop up to right

this time it hit Fullard's glove, but he dropped it

costs Iowa another run

and the scorer rules it a double

LOL

These 2 items cost Iowa at least 4 runs:

(1) Bottom of 6th: Runners on 2nd and 3rd, NO OUTS, and the next 3 Iowa batters strike out

A single would have given Iowa 2 runs

(2) 2 dropped balls cost Iowa 2 runs

Those costly mistakes and failures to execute at the plate that cost Iowa 4 runs end up being the difference as Iowa loses 10-6

Put the damn ball in play! Absolutely pathetic situational hitting there with runners on 2nd and 3rd with NO OUTS.
Yeah it was pathetic. It's not just an issue this year. It has been the last few. Zero reason to not get the ball in play once with guys at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Iowa basically used up Nedved for the weekend too.
