Starting out, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Maybe for the last time this season, the Lounge game thread is open for business. Under the right circumstances there will be 2 more football game threads. One next weekend from Indy and one from some sunny location. I so wanted to reference the Big Red by one of several other affectionate names they go by, but decided to be civil in the title. What to say about this game with the way the point spread has bounced around, possibly affected by an obituary of all things. The biggest factor for the Iowa side of this is who starts at QB and will the Fs switch QBs if one is struggling in favor of the other? What kind of pressure can Iowa’s ‘D’ get on the new kNebby QB? Will frosty get his 16th career win at kNebby or will the cobbers be putting another ‘L’ to end the season. N3br9ska has such a nice ring to it. Would like to see some early offense from Iowa and make the bugeaters a team having to play catch up. IOWA’s special teams will get a score of their own. Defense also scores. Just hope the offense has the same results. When the game ends with an Iowa victory, we can all agree to be Gopher fans for a Saturday afternoon. IOWA bring back the Hero’s trophy. Final score Cornshuckers max 20 and THE Iowa Hawkeyes at least 28. As always FIGHT for IOWA and GO HAWKS!!!
