He can't and wont because Stanley SUCKS under pressure. Iowa loses to Purdue and Nebraska and goes 8-4. We play whoever in the Holiday Bowl.
Would of been nice to have a clock operator stop the clock while they were moving the chains or better yet a ref notice that the clock was running

Really had a chance to to take the lead when Stanley threw the pick at the goal line. Call a time out and we have a chance to put it in after regrouping. That stings the most in this game.
Yes, fellow Hawkeye fanatic. I, like everyone else on this board, just assumed that Stanley would be a high draft pick after obviously making the college football playoffs, but it looks like he still needs to polish his helmet some more. And that's OK.
I'm thinking there's about a 90% chance they lose at least one more game. Probably 50-50 they lose at least two more.

Inexcusable. As was the field goal oppurtunity to end the 1st half, as was the wide open hockenson miss.

I wouldn't pick Iowa to beat Northwestern either.
There is ZERO chance Stanley wins one of these big pressure games. Just proves to me that Mansell must really suck in practice and be quite a bit behind captain Choke. Stanley was putrid today and hurt but yet stays in there. Disappointing.
How many times do you see a well run 2min or less offense out of a KF team? Other than the KF screwup not to call a timeout vs LSU and Tate bailing him out, every last drive is a cluster fudge bar.
Basically now...if Iowa Runs the table (doubtful) and Wisconsin loses one more (maybe PSU?) Hawks win the west and go to Indy.

I don't think that it's blaming the refs when they bungle a huge call like the infamous "phantom dropped pass in the mud puddle" play. Every Hawkeye fan knew that this was the year to make the CFP, and now? POOF. Gone.
I wish I could say that was auto-correct, but sadly it's true, you are Ped State.
We could have Peyton Manning on the bench and he wouldn’t get any meaningful snaps as long as Stanley is capable of walking.
