It frequently does. I think it was the Roy Tarpley Michigan team that had all five starters foul out in the first round game. They just could not play without fouling and the officials called them for it. I think Gary Grant might have been on that team. Antoine Joubere.

Wrong. Basketball is not a physical game or should I say not supposed to be. Contact is allowed, to a point. It’s past that point with Kofi.

Disagree. Rules are very specific on what is or isn’t allowed. Screens by nature are very physical, as is post play and boxing out on rebounds to name a few. Ireffed HS for 15 years and a bit of Juco (certainly not this level) and I will say for every time we blew the whistle, there were likely 10 times we could have and decided not to. Some crews call it tighter than others. I can’t tell you how many ADs told us to keep it within the rules, but reminded us not to interrupt the game more than we had to.
