nope. not a foul

People seriously blaming refs? Iowa is being exposed by a much better, more athletic team. Like with happened vs Gonzaga. And Michigan.

Sweet 16 will be a major accomplishment. Expect nothing more.

Some better officiating would change the complexion of the game, but Illinois would adjust pretty well. They can win both ways. They are, unfortunately, better than Iowa (today, but really most days if we're being honest with ourselves).

I don't see anyone claiming Iowa should be winning. I just see people complaining that obvious fouls aren't being called and it isn't being called fairly. But it's the same shit every game and every year. Big 10 games might as well not have officials and just let players call their own game.

What do ya know? Connor on the floor and the deficit grows. Officiating is garbage, but I'm sick of the nepotism.

Connor wouldn't start on most MVC teams. Tired of the obvious weak link.
Disagree about the MVC, but it's goddamned criminal at this point. Especially considering the opponent.

Kofi 8-12 FGA 4-7 FT 0-1 Vs Ogundele 1-2 FT on Ogundele fouls

using ogundele to spell Garza is nit a bad strategy

I still don't understand how that was not a technical. He flat out yelled at the ref and made a demonstrative motion. I've seen a whole lot less get called.

Never understood why Iowa was ever rated so high. Top 20? Probably so. But not top 5, not even close. You need defense to be that good, and more than one great player. Wieskamp is a good player, but there just isn't enough around Garza to warrant the hype. When you literally can't stop anyone from scoring and Minnesota blows your doors off with offense, you know you ain't close to elite. Iowa is a good team, probably a 4 or 5 seed, and maybe they see sweet sixteen if things fall their way in the bracket. But Fran isn't the coach, and this isn't the personnel, to do anything signiciant.
Iowa was never a top 10 team either. At this point they MIGHT be a top 20 team. They are right on the edge. Still looking like 5 seed territory and probably 2nd round exit in the tournament. My original post is more relevant and correct than ever.

You're an idiot. And a troll.

You really believe this? These players want it more than you would ever know

Yeah. It's not a matter of not wanting it or not putting forth the effort. A team I loathe is just better. I don't hate their players, though. The refs are letting them play this way and it's working for them. If I was their coach I'd be saying, "Keep doing what you're doing."
