I’d like to say Minnesota can’t keep up the offensive explosion...but they do get to play Iowa in 2nd half too.

Teams only have to guard 4 players when Connor on the floor too. He has any 3 he wants, and doesn’t even peek at the rim.

That is truly one of the worst defensive performances from anyone in college basketball this year for a half. Cook is lost. Luka too foot slow once the come to the hoop and we let them fire away from 3...closeout terrible. Without Moss this game is over and without a change in defensive mindset and execution it may be over anyway. Btw can we get a shot for our guards out of a regular offensive set.

Unfortunately we don't have any other options I'm afraid. JBo isn't really getting it done so far in the first half. I would think JBo plays almost the entire second half though. I sure hope it's not too much Connor.

Fran has this substitution pattern of pulling Moss and running JBo and Connor for the last 6-8 minutes or whatever. That would be a huge mistake tonight if he did that.

Minnesota might be shooting well but a lot of them are layups and dunks so yea, youre gonna be at 60+% on those.

The only thing you can say we've been a bit snake bitten by is our opponents are 28/29 at the line over the last two games. That wont last forever at least.

Why did Fran recruit Christian Williams (can't shoot or handle) or JBo (3pt shooting specialist) and CJ Frederick (shooting specialist) as his last 3 guard recruits? Pretty clear he was setting up PG spot for Connor. Last year's 4-14 record in B1G threw his plans out the window because he's also got to protect his job. JoeT recruitment was 3 years late. Connor needs to make some 3pt shots or he is a role player.

I might have gotten swept away with the hustle play of keeping the ball alive off the board, chasing it down, and kicking it to Baer for the 3-ball (if memory serves). He did have a nice pass to Garza down low.

That might be about it. I stand corrected because his defense has sucked so far now that you mention it.

It’s not possible for MN to shoot that well in the 2nd half. It’s also not possible for Iowa to play that poorly on defense in the 2nd half. Is it?

I will be surprised if anything changes in this game. Iowa’s mindset for this game not at the level it needs to be. MSU hangover and Minnesota is determined to have a great game.

Boy no kidding....TO, missed shots, you name it. Why we spend 3 minutes getting his game going is beyond me. Run your offense. Garza was living large down low. But I digress....without defense it does not matter

Obviously that zone D is garbage. I'm not sure why he decides to stick with it. Also the rotations with Dailey, CMac, and Kriener have me scratching my head. Hate to be down on CMac like I was last week, but just not doing anything for this program. Surprised we are getting punished so bad down low with the bigs. Cook giving 50% effort on the defensive end anymore. Just wants the highlights.

At this point down 9 I would love to understand what he can bring to the mix. Have not seen it on defense, he can’t score so Minnesota doesn’t have to worry about him spitting up.
