I'm also wondering this, even if your not a good shooter you have to let the defense know you will shoot, they can just sag off you then and take away the drive.

If you're not a good shooter and the sag off, they want you to shoot. Since Connor is making less than 10% of his 3pt shots this season, would you guard him? It is like Iowa leaving Jordan Murpy open for that 3pt shot --- Iowa wanted him to take the 3 because he is 21% from 3. Connor is a lot worse than that this season

Most of our players are one dimensional. It is what it is, I guess. It’s time to stop blaming them for their deficiencies and blame the guy who put together this roster of players. Iowa will still make the tournament but the round of 32 is probably their ceiling. Guards matter come tournament time and, unfortunately, that’s not our strength.
