If any consolation the basket that was Iowa's first half has been bad for every team in the tournament to-date (3's). Hopefully the thug team will have problems in second half on that end. I just think that rim is really tight and cause balls to pop out.

FFS, Joe had a chance. Several. He has great potential but he tries to do it all by himself. That last play was an example.

Iowa can't hit a shot and Badgers allowed to play crazy physical defense = Iowa doing Iowa type things in the postseason. Also maybe could Fran please use the bench and timeouts better? Pretty please
And CMAC some where around 1 for his last 13 3pt shots. Maybe missing wide open 3balls and not being a threat to score is also a problem.

Ok folks, let's not get carried away with the officiating hate...the Hawks are 0-10 from three and went through a four minute scoring drought....that's not on the stripes.

Wisconsin is being very intentional about putting Luka in a ball screen every time.
Thats why they are getting so many open looks.
This has always been the weak spot in Iowa playing man but most teams just aren't inteligent enough to do the same thing every trip.

Shots will start falling.. hawks started well but assists went down toward the end of 2nd half. Hawks succes has been built around assists. They will get it figured out
Observations so far:
- We all knew that Iowa needs to hit threes to put teams on their heels. Hasn't happened, yet, but we have an entire half still to play! No way they stay 0fer from 3 point land. Just need to make the first to remove the dust.
- Garza is playing well and holding the team together. Great stuff
- Hawks looks like they are playing tentative. I believe it has to do with the first observation
- We're only down 6 and haven't shot great. That's super encouraging
- Wisconsin is playing with a lot more energy. Hawks need to come out ready to play in the 2nd half
- We're still going to win and even if we don't, who cares, we're still a solid 2 seed and will have time to rest longer. Playing with house money right now.
We are a 2 seed in the big dance win or lose. Try and just enjoy it. Beer
