Hopefully a lot. It was dreadful this year.
One thing that needs to change is reducing the student section. I don't think they are ever coming back. Look at student sections for all sports not football in high school sports. They are diminishing quickly.
Needs to be moved to better location.
I am not convinced that will do anything. Other student sections are still behind the basket. Ours is worse than most.
This also needs to be a Calhoun watch. WVU hiring someone other than BM would be great. Nova too
Maybe. But look at ISU. Students are not much different today. Yes, they have more options for their attention, so you have to work harder. But give them a reason to come and they’ll come back. They want to be where it’s the place to be. Same as always.
If nothing else, move them to the north end, as close to the court as possible, it may not be on the sidelines but at least they would be closer then they are now. Love to see some of them wearing white shirts and gold ties.
I agree that things are in a sorry state right now, but maybe the new coach can connect with the students and fans. Rather than doing away with it, maybe it can be rebuilt. Lot of maybes there, but I'm glad some of these commenters aren't running things.
CHA will fill up immediately. I haven’t gone to a MBB game since the Richmond fiasco (that’s when FM lost me), but I will be either a season ticket holder or at least go to several games next season with BMac at the helm. I doubt that my situation/feelings are unique.
Time to hire the former Storm Lake resident (has a nice ring to it since I grew up there).
Marketing. Marketing marketing marketing. The University is terrible at it. Start targeting students with incentives and they will come. Especially if Ben gets involved.
