Put your name on it!

I'd expect one of two things to happen. Either IA keeps the mojo going and takes out a shaky unbeaten, or we clam back up and get beaten at our own game, à la MSU/NU.

I'll be optimistic and go for the former. They can't put the genie back in the bottle, can they?

IA 23
WI 13

It seems the team performs better when more people put up predictions here. I blame you all. o_O

This week's big winner was @BigOHawkfan who scored 14 points. @RogerKint hit 18, getting pretty close on the scores, only having them backwards. @HemiHawk takes the bronze with 22.

I had Iowa winning this game in my preseason prediction, so I'll go:

Iowa 23
Wisconsin 21

I don't think Iowa has an answer for Wisconsin's run game. I can see a 17 to 14 type game after 3 but in the end the big o line wears the Hawks dline down and pulls away late.

Wiscy 31 IOWA 17. Then we can go back to meltdown mode over play calling.

This is one of my bigger fears ... plenty of teams have run much better against us than I would have ever guessed (considering the experience of our LBs and DL). Illinois put up a ton of rushing yards against us. Minnesota's top 2 RBs averaged together, over 5 ypc against us. Ohio State foolishly didn't run Dobbins more against us ... he broke off a number of big gains against us.

Now we're going against Wisconsin ... a team that lives and breathes their running game. I hope we tackle better than usual ... because our tackling against Wisconsin really has been poor more often than not through the past several years.
