I would normally agree with you on this BUT Sandfort's release is very quick and high and consistent that I doubt it will matter much who the opponent is. He is going to be a good one.

That shot he made in transition where he passed to Connor who gave it right back and he chucked it was kind of ridiculous. Unbelievably quick release. Got up pretty quick on his jam too

Unless we need a last second inbounds pass, get CMAC off the floor. Fran needs to hire him as an assistant coach, I'd feel much more comfortable with him in that role.

I love watching the starters on the bench when Ash is playing. They go crazy whenever he takes a shot.

I wish they didn't, it will encourage him more. He's the most annoying player to watch. Zero teamwork. He just cares about chucking up as many shots as he can. I know it's during garbage minutes but he looks like a child playing playground basketball. Fran should be using these minutes to develop players we will actually use, not wasting them on Ash so he can stroke his ego. Makes us look bad. I enjoyed his air ball after the clock expired at the end, though.

Ash cracks me up. He must get really antsy on the bench waiting to get in. Once he does, the ball is going up. I like his mid-range / floater game. He may merit some legit PT situationally.

I love the kid but he is shooting a team-worst 10% for any player has taken a 3 pt shot.

Quit ragging on Ash...the kid is maybe on scholarship but basically he is still second to last off the bench next to Laketa. The kid has been at Iowa for 4 years, let him have some fun with the little court time he gets. The rest of the roster doesn't seem to mind that he launches from deep every time down the floor.
I know this is laughable or maybe unthinkable, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a game for us if inserted at the end of a game needing 3 to win. You never know!
