I can’t wait for spring ball to start, however these gloomy cold days and Iowa BB being trash isn’t making it any better …

I hope the Hawks can surprise next season in Football but I won’t hold my breath. We kinda have some interesting pieces to the puzzle back but will it be enough? I still think it all surrounds around the line play on both sides of the ball…. If we can get stout play on both it frees up so many other skill positions… pound the rock and it will open up the pass and it seems like we might have a dual headed QB situation next year as I think they can definitely complement each other and our RB room is in pretty good hands I would think.

Oline worries me a lot. We looked over matched too many times and we lost a lot of experience. I can only hope that losing them might be a good thing. Expecting a lot of the same but, fingers crossed, maybe this qb is the answer.

Lot of holes to patch, solid schedule, some interesting new players to watch. I’m excited to see what new tricks (if any) old dog ferentz has learned. Even more than wanting a decent offense, i want to see phil recreate a elite defense (though frankly i don’t see the pieces.)
2nd year lester might do some damage albeit without the world’s best rb :)

I say fire the off-season and hire the regular season on a full-time basis.............

Start watching the women's basketball team. Kind of got hooked on watching them.
Last two years were great. I knew this year would be tough with everyone they lost, but a lot of good young players and good recruiting class makes it exciting. And how hard they play and the defense they played against USC was encouraging. You have to think the program is in good hands and will be competitive.

Yesterday was the 2nd signing day for 2025 class but was a non-event for Hawks and many programs although BTN and ESPN still had programming.
Hawks HS recruiting class was 9th/10th in BIG with portal class at dead last in BIG.
Yikes.

As for next season, it's a box of chocolates...never know.

Playing Oregon and PSU in Kinnick probably at nite could be potential fun nites..or not.
USC in coliseum could be fun..or not.
At Madison and Lincoln could make or break our year.
Hey, pitchers and catchers report on Sunday so spring is coming!

I wish Lucy had another year yet.

I agree, For the first time I actually believe they have bought a player that going to make a HUGE difference. I don't think you can have as many years of success as he has without being the real deal. I agree that the line has to at least give him a fighting chance to prove it.
It's a slow time for new news but Iowa wresting just a huge day with the addition of Bo Bassett and at eleven today another stud and team mate will announce his choice of schools Both are the top of the food chain in their weight classes nationally.
Also, if any WNBA news excites you, the Fever announced addition to this year's team that could get them deep into the playoffs.

It is a very slow time and I can't fill the space moving snow here is central Iowa.

I have never seen a two headed QB . Where did he come from? Do you have videos? I could see the advantages with 4 eyes scanning the field. Maybe we can get some 4 handed receivers!

With Mark being unable to throw, Spring ball is going to be boring too. Footage from fall camp will be the most exciting thing we'll see before games in August.

It is funny though. People have dogged Richman and Colby their whole careers and then when they leave, its "oh know" look what we lost". lololol.. I actually think the line will be better next season. Might be a better way to approach the off season anyway.......

Do other things with your life then, other than following sports. Get a hobby! Work out. Spend time with husband (make passionate love to him, switch it up, get kinky). Life is not borring, you are boring.

He doesn't have a husband, unless you're speaking about you.

And his fiancee doesn't look boring

Don't see any reason for a dual-headed QB situation, other than maybe a goal line package for Sully.

But yes, the team will be as good as they are up-front
