Oh the signs about gays will come down just like those signs I used to see in the 90's warning blacks not to be caught there after dark...
It took the SEC and ACC states well over 100 years just to get over the Civil War. A generation (at least) of preachers and preached-at will have to die before some of their sons and daughters come out of the closet. Larger cities like Atlanta, already happened. Smaller burgs, give it another century.
Is this something your proud of because you are from Tennessee? I get that churches and religious institutions have a problem with SSM, but seriously a hardware store is banning gays and lesbians from shopping there. I've got news for the owners, they have had LGBT customers for years. The only thing accomplished by this sign is that they will lose gay customers and as naturalmwa said they will just start the ball rolling on protected class status.
