Brother has a flight out of O'Hare in mid May at 6 AM. Any parking recommendations that are fairly easy to navigate. Weather shouldn't be bad so wouldn't need to be covered. A see a lot of shuttle services from hotels and such don't begin til 5AM. He is 3 hours away so wasn't planning on getting hotel. Just arrive, park, and fly out. Any idea of pricing. Car will be parked for 8 days. Thanks

For 8 days he's going to want to park at the remote garage (Lot F) which is the end of the line for the transit system. He should give himself a half hour to park and take the trolley. If he parks in the garage adjacent to Terminals 1-3, it is like $46/day. The remote lot is still like $22/day or so (don't quote me).

Don't know enough O'Hare will enough to give an answer.

We recently flew out of CR to Cozumel. Not sure how, but I came across a valet service at Cedar Rapids airport. For $20 a day you pull up, grab your stuff, and head to bag check/security. They park it and then it was started and warm when I landed. You just fill out a form with departure and arrival information and they take it from there. For $2 more than short term parking, I'm using valet for every flight out of CR moving forward. I almost hate giving this information away.

Park in a hotel near it. They offer such services. Like the Westin. Take the shuttle. They have a security guy who makes sure people aren't vandalizing your car. Easy peasy.

Book a park and stay hotel the night before and get shuttled over, with car locked into a secure parking area.

I'm not sure why this thread thinks ORD's garage/lots aren't secure. There are like 500 security guards driving through it at all times.

most hotels near O'hare charge daily parking rates

Last year when we went to Norway the closest one that had free parking/shuttle was 15 miles away and the shuttle didn't run after 7pm so it wasn't going to work for us.

Good to know. When we used it a few years ago, it was in the cost of the hotel - our travel agent set it up.
