Not a new idea, but maybe should be revisited. The robbers go to the bank because that's were the money is, and within the B10 footprint, Ohio has the most talent. And it would seem that the retention rate would be higher than those from further locations.

There are obviously variations, but I would think that a priority list for many top Ohio recruits would be:
1. OSU
2. B10 in bordering states
3, national high profile
4. other B10
5. other nearby P5
6. other nearby

A quick look at some of the current top 55 commits shows:
Cinc 7
OSU 6
othernon-P5 5
WVA 5
ISU 3
WI 3
NW 3
MSU 2
RU 2
IA 1
MD 1
MN 1
PSU 1
MI 1

Some interesting questions here. The top RBs are headed to LSU, WVA, Cinc, Ky, and RU. None to OSU. Did OSU feel it was a weak year for RBs in Ohio? Would our early offers to those five garnered at least one commitment?

Surprised that MI and PSU each have only one?

How many of the Cinc recruits could have been swayed by a strong BIG10 pursuit?

How many other non-P5 recruits could have been swayed by a strong BIG10 pursuit?

Will talk of realignment cause second thoughts toward WVA and ISU?

Now that we have a coach with an Ohio background , will that make a difference?

Thoughts?
