Ohio State

We nvr beat OSU. Don’t know why I’m going to this game other than I skipped last years Michigan game after the ped state thrashing we had the week b4.

KF teams play better vs better competition. Sad, but seem to be the case quite often.
Could turn out to be a good game. Especially if the line blocks and people dont drop passes they shouldnt!

I think the only thing keeping this game from being 70-3 is the fact that Iowa plays at home. Surprisingly, that might be worth 29 points so I think Iowa can keep the score low: 45-7

Iowa isn't going to get within 5 td's. Urban needs to pour it on to impress the playoff committee.

I gave Iowa no chance against Michigan last year or Penn State this year, but they almost proved me wrong twice.

The OSU game may not end in victory but I expect it will be a competitive game. Most of Ferentz's games are competitive regardless of opposition.

On the contrary. I think the only reason this game is respectable is because OSU is now back firmly on the inside of the playoff picture and control their own destiny. If they were in the position they were in at this point last year, then I agree that it would be a 2014 BTCG-type beat-down.

Ya, tOSU spent alot of energy against PSU, Iowa not looking like world beaters. Upset alert.

I would love to see a repeat of last year's Michigan game. I doubt it, though. Ferentz is 1-8 against Ohio State. The only win was the Drew Tate team that won a co-Big Ten championship. The only two close games were in 2009 (the Orange Bowl) and 2010 (the underachieving team with Stanzi having an unbelievable year passing the ball to great WRs).

Iowa should be about a 40-point dog in this one. There is no rational way to foresee this game as anything but a major disaster for the Hawkeyes. That doesn't mean it will turn out that way, of course, but it's impossible to see any hope from here.

While it would be nice to throw a monkey wrench into the OSU playoff machinery, I’m not holding my breath. Our best shot at an upset this year will come in Madison and our chances are less than 50% with that. Let’s see how it plays out...

It would be a classic trap game. OSU having a tremendous offensive run the last month, big win versus PSU, Michigan State which has had a history of taking down heavily favored OSU teams and of course Michigan and Harbaugh on the horizon.

My concern as an OSU fan is that the Buckeyes come out flat and believe that it doesn’t matter because their talent will win out. So unlike against PSU, the Buckeyes don’t play with any sense of urgency, until that urgency turns to desperation.

What I’m hoping wins out is that the team is deep enough so that even if it was a physical game last night, they’re deep enough and rotated enough that they will still be physically fresh if not mentally fresh.

Recinos has a plantar fasciitis flare up setting Keith Duncan up for another game winner at the bell. 17-16, Iowa.

We beat them in 2004 when we had that great defense and we had Tate at QB that surprised them with his scrambling. We paid for it the next two years with shit kickings at their place and then a home.

Thanks for the memories...I recall in 2003 maybe, we gave them a defensive game at the shoe with Freddy Russel team and that was when OSU had lousy offenses/stout defenses. After OSU went more spread/with running QB (Troy Davis, Tyrell Pryor), Iowa defenses have had harder time with OSU offenses...yeah, 2010 we were n the game, but Pryor toyed with us...anytime they needed a big 3rd down, he just took off and got it. The 2010 team underachieved...almost great, but just not enough depth...missed Spievey at corner.

Keeping it close is not out of the question. Winning it? That's a bit too much.
tosu shot themselves in the foot multiple times against psu to put them in that hole prior to the comeback. Don't see them being that error prone against Iowa.
