Why wasn't the national media calling Okie State a fraud and "posers"? Can you imagine what would be said if we got beat 58-23? Go ahead and google their results from this season... go ahead... I'll hang up and listen.

Well? Did you like what you saw? Did you?
They looked horrible against Central Mich (I actually watched part of that crapfest). They managed to beat Texas by 3, K-State by 2, and should have lost to the Clownz. Not sure how Iowa became the magnet for the haters.

I'm curious to see who ends up representing the B12 in the Sugar Bowl. The 3 teams all beat each other and none have a signature OOC win. I think it will be Baylor or TCU; I think TCU deserves it. Actually maybe none of them will be in Top 11, so it's too bad they're contracted with Sugar.

TCU and Baylor both have serious injury issues; that is, the teams that go bowling aren't going to be the teams that were undefeated with a month left in the season. Moreover, neither team draws flies at home, let along travels well. Okie State is relatively healthy and has a good fan base.

Having said that, I have no idea what criteria the bowl selection gurus will use.

Was my first look at both teams last night. OU deserves a lot of credit; they probably are the best team in the country right now. Okie St. was terrible, however. Their defense gave up multiple long, untouched runs in the first half. Any time you give up 44 points in one half, at home, with a conference championship on the line -- you know that team is WAY over rated.

Okie State had been dodging bullets all season, including at Ames the week before losing at home to Baylor. Still a damned good team, but not in OU's class.

Most under-publicized quarterback in America: The kid from Oklahoma.

Okie st defense was pathetic. Tackling pathetic. Gap control pathetic. Oklahoma is real good but come on.

The biggest poser and fraud, as cowturd would say, was exposed. Makes me wonder even more, why the hate on Iowa?

Exactly. Now the media is hyping Oklahoma for the huge win against powerhouse OSU. It's all smoke and mirrors if you ask me.
Not saying that Oklahoma isn't a very talented and impressive team, nor that they don't "deserve" to be in the Top 4, but things really aligned perfectly for Boomer Sooner from a timing perspective:

The hideous, HIDEOUS Texas loss happens so early in the season that it's virtually invisible now that things matter.

They get to be the first to expose a Baylor defense that had literally faced nobody up to that point, yet was still ranked in the bottom half of FBS.

Finally, they get to score major style points in prime time "Bedlam" against a total fraud who should have lost to the Clones and who gave up 53 to Texas Tech in a "win."

Again, no discredit to OU, as I feel they're as deserving as any of the 1-loss teams. Things definitely set up nicely for them to make everyone forget about that loss to the Longhorns, and they certainly made the most of their opportunity.

He's starting to get some Heisman talk and I'm sure will wind up in NYC.

Won't win but will be a strong candidate next year, at least starting out. He's very fun to watch.

I keep seeing people on this board discredit OU for their loss against Texas and saying that other teams should be ahead of them (Ohio St) because they lost to a very good MSU team "barely".
Memories are apparently short because all of you thought Ohio St was more deserving last year than TCU even though Ohio St has a horrific loss AT HOME to Va Tech while TCUs lone loss was only by a hair to a top 6 Baylor on the road.

Double standard much?

Along with the fact that they're currently on a 3 game qb backup streak.

It's not really s double standard, it's just big 12 sucks and refuses to play a championship game.

That 7-6 V-Tech team although average made a bowl last year winning it and was far better than this garbage 4-7 Texas team that won 3 games in conference!

I'll put an under-achieving, but most talented team in the nation, in OSU up against anyone else from another conference and they win. They would drill OU.

More hate for Iowa because they knew we had good chance to win out. Media knew OSU's time in the spotlight would end

That's a really silly post. Maybe you aren't aware that the Big XII has been prohibited form having a championship game. Perhaps you are too young to remember when the Big XII had a championship game and most other conferences didn't, the championship game was given as an excuse to exclude Big XII teams from NC consideration.

A game can hurt or help, and in any case, it's ridiculous to have one in a league where everybody plays everybody else.

Don't get me wrong; a lot of Big XII fans think the league should add two teams just so it can have a title game, which is an even more ridiculous thing than what you said.
