Old Herky

I know some are old school here but I was looking at some pics this morning and cannot believe Iowa held out with that Gigantic Headed paper mache' object we called Herky. The thing reminded me of a 1940's homemade High School Mascot. Just awful.

It does kind of look like that, but it's just the trees.

Looks like the photo itself was in the 1956 Yearbook, Pg 44.

Not sure on the location, but I bet someone on here will know.
