It’s called not giving a phuck anymore. And for old people, I applaud it.
Do you still have long hair? I don’t.
Less hassle.
A wig seems like a pain in the ace.

For you young guys that wives are not experiencing menopause. Women don't want long hair hanging on their neck making them hotter. They also don't need the hassle of fixing brushing, curling and long drying periods with a hair dryer to impress their husbands, friends and so on. A women can look nice in short hair if do right.
Is that not a bit of a breach of contract? Spouses have an obligation to maintain themselves. Otherwise it's a classic bait and switch.

I am in my 70’s as most of you know. I don’t have super short hair like what they used to call a “pixie” cut but I do have other things I concentrate on as far as my appearance, like good skin care.
My Mom had a hair salon when I was growing up so I am lucky enough to know what to do with hair, and a lot of women don’t. As they age it’s a hassle to keep going to a beautician and it can get costly if you’re on a fixed income, so it makes sense to get it cut real short and forget about it.
Those celebs pictured are still spending a ton on that short hairstyle. Not at all the same as a grandma in a small town in the heartland.

LOL I hope I never need one, because that would mean I’m in chemo. I have a full head of hair and I’m in good shape there.
