Iowa hosted the Black and Gold Invite last weekend and used the opportunity to continue to rewrite the record books. Kalen Walker was a standout, running a 6.58 to claim both gold in the 60m race and the top time in school history. It's the third time this season that Walker has set the school record and now owns the 7th-fastest time in Division 1. Grant Conway put together a strong performance as well, finishing first in the 60m hurdles, running the 4th fastest time in school history, 7.70. Jamie Kofron also had a big weekend, tossing a 21.04m weight throw and claiming 3rd place on the all-time list at Iowa. Her throw earned her 1st place in the event.

Elsewhere, Iowa Gymnastics suffered another blow, when All-American Adeline Kenlin went down with an injury but bounced back to win one of their two weekend meets. The Hawkeyes continue to see growth out of their younger athletes, but now have two All-American-sized holes to fill in the lineup. Hopefully, Kenlin's injury is a minor one.
