Hawkeye track and field took part in the Big Ten Championships over the weekend, with Iowa's men's side finishing 2nd in the team standings and the women's side finishing 7th. The Hawks took home conference titles in four events and earned seven All-Conference awards. The Hawkeyes claimed two relay and two field titles and will next prepare for the NCAA Regional meet, which starts May 22nd.
On the diamond, the Hawkeye baseball team dropped two of three to first-place Illinois, but Brody Brecht was again brilliant in his Saturday start. Brecht now owns the Hawkeye single-season record for strikeouts and has put together one of the best months on the mound in recent memory.
