It was another banner weekend for the Hawkeye track and field program, as they earned a slew of berths to next week's NCAA Championships. The Hawks competed in the NCAA West Regional and wasted no time making their presence known.

Amanda Howe earned her first career NCAA berth in the hammer throw, the men's 4x100m and 4x400m both earned trips to Austin, and Paige Magee qualified for the NCAA Championships in the women's 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and as part of the women's 4x100m relay team. Other qualifiers included James Carter Jr. in the men's triple jump, Austin Kresley in the men's 200m, and Myreanna Bebe in the women's 100m hurdles.

The Hawkeyes have shown all year that they're a deep team that can compete with the nation's best in a variety of events. Last weekend's meet continued to prove that out and I expect next week's NCAA Championships to show more of the same. You can catch up on all this and more and this week's Olympic Spotlight.
