It was a packed week for Hawkeye sports, highlighted by Iowa softball's sweep over Maryland. The Hawkeyes dominated every facet of the weekend, led by big weekends at the played by Jena Young and Soo-Jin Berry. Talia Tretton was impressive at the plate too and added in a strong start on the mound. There's been no shortage of obstacles for the Hawkeyes this season, but they've refused to make excuses and continue to battle each weekend. The team has shown significant improvement from last year and earned their first sweep since the 2023 season.
Elsewhere, Hawkeye baseball won another conference series, this time against Nebraska, track and field racked up four event wins, and tennis, rowing, and golf were all in action.
