One thing I've discovered so far during these Olympics is just how many idiots Americans think the athletes are competing for 'Gold Metals' and not medals.

USA shut out - no medals on the first day! First time since 1972. Darn Biden.
Love the Olympics. I’ll watch almost anything. Haven’t found much to watch today.
“We” elected Donald Trump as President, so this has been a long known fact.
I caught the German v Brazil game midway and when Brazil hit their third goal and there was no one to cheer it gave me the sads and I found something else to watch.

Events have been hard to watch without fans. I was ok with basketball and football last year, but it just feels wrong for the Olympics. I felt so bad for the athletes during the opening ceremony. They worked so hard for all those years and get to walk out to nothing. As sad as that was, at least they get to compete after training for all those years.

The Czech ladies and their tiny bikinis were disqualified due to covid. A moment of silence please.
I watched some swimming while at the gym. It truly is a shame the athletes have no spectators to cheer them on.
We finally medaled - men's swimming a gold and a silver.
Whatever it is it's too many.
The people at these Trump rallies like to think they are great Americans, but they chose to support a lying, cheating adulterer over our Olympic athletes. That is unAmerican to me. I have seen the US win five medals so far this evening.
I feel bad that their families can’t be there. Whether it’s their parents or a significant other it’s just sad they can’t share the biggest moment of their lives with those they love most.
After watching skateboarding, I’ll now judge other athletes for not vaping or wearing AirPods when they compete.

Tunisian swimmer upsetting everyone for the Gold was pretty sweet!
What is truly astounding and befuddling, is how the one country with the most guns per-capita, can never seem to catch a medal in the shooting events.
