Why in the hell were we subjected to repeats of Claes/Sponcil matches instead of track and field since Saturday?
first reply to that tweet said, "Actually, the shotput finals start around 10 pm" for anyone that wants to see live.
The track and field coverage is somewhat of a shit show.
For the shot, the first two people fouled but no explanation of the fouls..
Crouser for the USA threw and his hat came off and the announcer said the throw wouldn’t count. But no explanation of how that would be a foul and it was allowed.

My son, who has spent the last 10 years competing and coaching T&F, looked at me and said "Why would that be a foul? His hat isn't part of his body"
Then they said it was a good throw and he shook his head like "Duh"
It cuts across all sports. Dude in an 800M prelim clipped himself and fell and they didn't even recognize it. It's like watching BTN and they never comment on the replay.
Christ, at least Learfield Sports could lean on the fact that they were broadcasting in SD.

The Kerley to Brown exchange was absolute trash. Kerley couldn't get it in Brown's hand.
Yeah, 40 meters into the last leg, he was ahead of Canada in 3rd. Got passed by DeGrasse, then 2 passed him in last few strides.

Olympic Relay Clown Show continues. What a joke we have become in a race that we used to own. Ever consider going back to the hip pass? Couldn't hurt. After all...if at first (or second or third or fourth or 20 years) you don't succeed....maybe try something different FFS!
We're winning the overall medal count, and may be able to squeak by China in the gold count in the end....but this has been a pretty lackluster olympiad for Team USA overall, and an utter sh!t show in the track glamour events.
The men's 4x100 only has 3 years before Paris. They should consider going back to the hotel and getting started praticing baton passes now.

The last two times they shit the bed, we were told the coaches would put the team together earlier and work on the exchanges, but yet ...

Wow, a whole, entire "couple of practices!?" How did they even summon the strength to run the race?
