I also thought that Haarms should have forced the pass to the short side of the court. The guy from Butler had so much space out there with only one defender.

Are you sure? I thought he got it off in time. That was the ideal scenario to foul as soon as the guy touched it.

Its a no brainer IMO. I watched the SDSU vs. Villanova NCAAW Rd1 game on Wednesday. SDSU down 3 with :02.5 on the clock...pass inbounds...SDSU player takes an inbounds pass, guarded by 2 Nova players, takes one dribble away from the basket whirls around and launches a desperate shot from her hip as the Nova players stand there..... banked in from about 25 feet....tied at the buzzer.. Nova went on to win in OT but they should not have had to play another period and could have lost for no good reason.
