If I understand correctly, this only affects athletes in the jurisdiction where the decision was made.
Response by the NCAA.

Jebus. What's next?

I say let players transfer in-season multiple times. Need a big win? Have NIL pay a guy $100k for one game, then he can transfer back, maybe without even missing a game.

Make the NCAA tourney but a long shot? Recruit studs that didn't make the Dance and win it all.

Obviously, whatever is best for the "student athletes" is best for the sport, right?

How do the courts have authority over NCAA rules? Can the courts say traveling with the basketball needs to be legal? Or what about 5 players to a team, can that be ruled illegal?

This. I understand the original ruling of letting players earn money. Just too much money made OFF them to completely block them from their NIL money.

But the courts should have NO SAY if a company or NCAA organization, wants to enforce a 1 year (probation) that only prevents the player from playing in games. The player can still make NIL money.

If the courts are effing around with this, then I guess we should get our suspended wrestlers and Noah back, because the NCAA apparently can't enforce their own rules AT ALL.

Like you said, file a lawsuit to allow 10 on 10 basketball, because the 5 on 5 isn't fair to the guys on the bench... Where does this sh*t end?

All the players from Iowa and Iowa State should sue the NCAA for them not just letting Iowa players lose their eligibility this year. !!! Have a judge from Iowa rule on this!!
