I think the defense with Jewell and hopefully Snyder is good enough to will us to 2-3 more wins. With a young team getting a bowl win would be great heading into next year regardless of where we end up. Also a good way to send a few loyal seniors off.

Yeah, lol, I've read a few of your more negative posts.

You're not wrong. However, I think a lot of the negativity has to do with the disappointment of seeing the offense lay another egg, especially after a bye week.

For me, I accepted a long time ago this is Iowa football under Kirk Ferentz. I've been ready for a coaching change since 2012. Since Barta ensured that isn't going to happen any time soon, I pretty much accept it and don't let it ruin my Saturdays. What's the point anyway?

It's always interesting when this happens. Team has very low expectations which are met and the torches & pitchforks come out.

My thought today has been its really hard to avoid down years at Iowa (not impossible but hard) and KF teams are REALLY hard to watch when they're not that good. That's what has happened so far this year.

I'll struggle to enjoy the last few games if Wadley keeps getting so many inside touches.... Otherwise I agree with the optimism and there are some things to like for the future

This year sucks. We have a few more opportunities to ruin some other parties. What I like to believe about Kirk's teams is that they have enough pride to not quit after setbacks. We have trophies on the line against Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. We have an opportunity to ruin OSU's season. And, of course, our most hated rival is also still on the schedule.

The reality for me is that the offense is going to be as good as the Oline will let it be, not a good year for the Oline so the offense is spinning in mud, Young guys getting valuable experience, hopefully it pays dividends down the road. Tough to watch though no doubt about it.
