Hmm. I support trans people as much as anyone, but I don't see why they keep allowing this. It doesn't do anyone any good and just gets people fired up. By not hurting 1 athlete's feelings, they put a target on a lot of other trans people's backs. It's not really fair to anyone involved, including the trans athletes.

Iowa can have para and ambulatory races for 'disabled' athletes at the state meet with only two entries, why can't they just have a trans division? If your current gender doesn't match your birth certificate, you get to run in this division.

It’s not right IMO. It’s especially telling that I could pick out the TG athlete as soon as they started running. It was quite obvious to my eyeballs long before the finish.

Ruling associations need to correct this and keep it out of the political arena, I have my doubts this will happen however.

It's this type of situation that will get Trump elected. Every time this happens, the GOP will use it as fear porn. The right won't care how many women Trump raped. Seriously, every time a dude whoops a woman in sports it's another Trump vote. The left needs to shut this shit down if they want a chance.

Instead, they think Trump is so bad (which he is), that rolling a vegetable out in November will get it done. I mean, I'm probably going to vote for the vegetable (just so I can sleep at night), but the boogie man will most likely put Trump back in office.

Well, of course he's a dude. The point in all this is how far do bend to accommodate. I typically live by the "live and let live" mantra. For example, I could not care less if my CEO is a dude who wants to be a woman. However, if my CEO wants to compete in the local basket ball league she'd better compete with the dudes.

Same. My solution is to let them compete with their schools but for results they should be virtually competing against other trans athletes in their state or the entire country. Placing of an actual trans athlete should not impact the placing of a cis gendered athlete.

Who is this all powerful organization ("the left") that can "shut this down"? It's dishonest to think people who you may consider to be a part of "the left" want TG girls/women competing athletically against biological women, the majority of "the left" don't support that position.

I've been saying this for a long time, this is what athletic associations/committees/unions exist to address. A few have, but the vast majority have not or just continue to ignore it. Looking for political solutions to this is a wet dream of the current GOP because simple people buy their lies and their narrative that this is a goal of "the left". It is not. But BAU, people lap it up because their team says so. It was apparently effective with you at least.

Here's a short list of who is actually responsible and can cause reform/change:
