Speaking out of my ass, but he's past the transfer eligibility date. So I'd assume he's out for the year.
As does his picture being in an Iowa uniform while announcing he's not going to Iowa.
Are we sure this isn't a joke or he's been hacked? He's from Michigan, so his first sentence doesn't make sense.

Maybe his senior year did not go as well as needed in the classroom.
My guess is MSU or Michigan offered. If that turns out out to be the case, he was never seriously committed to us and all I'll say is good riddance.
If that is the case His next Team will be either a Prep School or CC and not in Madison, Ann Arbor or Lansing ect . He ends up at a P5 He got paid and He by rule and timing loses a Year if I understand the rules correctly .
A little speculation, but judging by his social media, he'd be a type that would take the highest NIL bidder. Could be wrong.

Doubt Vanderbilt would offer him if there were any doubt at all about his grades. Probably NIL or personal reasons.

He liked a lot of tweets so who knows. I think you have to have more stars or offers to be expecting any real NIL $$. Neb had offered him so maybe there was NIL from there. Neb could be an interesting school in regards to NIL.
according to twitter, if Iowa grants his release, he does not need to enter the portal and he's free to go where he wants.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough depending on where he lands if someone came to him with a deal or not.
I think it is interesting what 3* type guys will demand in the open market. He may well be a star in college or the NFL but it’s not like he had tons of offers or interest from big time schools.
I’m sure when asked KF/Phil probably tell recruits something like “play your way into NIL money with results on the field” or something to that effect. Some don’t want to hear that though.

This has nothing to do with the transfer rule. Iowa has released guys from their LOI before. Jalen Hunt comes to mind.
Usually some type of extenuating circumstances follow, whether it be grades (doubtful in this case) or personal life/reasons.
Bummer. I thought he had potential to be the best CB out of the group. Really good returner highlights.

Iowa has as strong group of DBs coming in already with this class. And with the next class so they will be fine. Weird timing though for sure.
Not directly - but any savvy coach is gonna release a player. Why keep someone on the roster, using a scholly, when you know they don't want to be there and will just transfer at the earliest opportunity with impunity? You could be a dick I guess, but then you look bad to future recruits..
They may not be able to "transfer" after signing an LOI, but the ability to have a free transfer as soon as they set foot on campus makes the net effect the same as if they could.
