The semifinals were not even close after halftimes. Mayfield and Cook are glorified game managers only. The NFL scouts had to see nothing to merit an early selection from either one. Both MSU and Oklahoma running games were stuffed. Oklahoma's Big 12 defense had lots of holes.

I am going predict Bama as the winner of the title game because of three things I saw: 1) While Coker is a decent QB, Watson's not a great passer and can be forced to throw inceptions; 2) Alabama's OL is more solid and can open holes for their RBs; and 3) Bama's defensive front 7 are about the best at playing in space and can contain a mobile Watson from big gains. Bama's secondary has been its Achilles' heel but Watson's not am exceptional passer, IMHO.

Happy New Year. Go Hawks!

Clemson has a hell of a lot more chance than most people will give them.

Watson completed almost 70% of his passes this year, so not sure exactly what the OP is seeing.

He's almost 30 spots higher on the pass efficiency charts than Beathard is.

Your giving Alabama too much credit. I didn't see an unbeatable Alabama last night. I seen a team that had difficulty running the ball and took advantage of a terrible MSU secondary and exploited it continuously. Watson is a great qb, a lot better than Cook. Alabama's OL is good but Henry averaged under 4 yds a carry against MSU. Clemson has more team speed than Bama and those WR's should be able to exploit Alabama in that area. If Clemson stops Alabama's running game they win, Bama won't be as successful through the air like they were last night.

No. Stanford should have taken OU's place. They were a conference champ while OU lost to a crappy Texas team and beat Baylor and TCU without their QBs.

When tO$U wins at home to get to the championship game let me know.
They lost two games. Are you serious???
