OT-- Bill Walton makes College Basketball Unwatchable

I actually like Bill Walton. You never know what crazy shit he's gonna say. I, also, like how he told Lunardi about the weak-ass conference Gonzaga plays in.
 
More love for Bill here. I wouldn't want to live in a world where he was the only announcer, but a great change of pace. And, somehow appropriate his games normally are late night games.

If he is doing a game of interest (like Iowa) he is horrible. If I was a fan of one of the schools he was doing --- no way I would listen...the volume would be at zero.

If I was his partner (who he seems to like to pick a fight with)...I'd refuse to work with him.

Other than that I love him when he is doing a game I dont care about...
 
"Conference of Champions", has to do with the PAC 8, when he was playing.
All they did was win. National Championships!!
 
Gotta like Walton. He loves the game and you never know what crazy thing he will say next. He will actually call the refs out on their bs too which is nice to hear. One of the best Walton quotes...

I mean he is one of the three greatest college basketball players of all time and played on two of the most iconic NBA teams ever. The guy knows basketball.
 
I turned off the Zona vs Oregon game as soon as I saw who was announcing, not worth it.
 
His bizarre philosophizing can be entertaining in small doses.
Not a fan of his rambling delivery overall, though.

I'd take Calhoun over Walton. At least Calhoun discusses some strategy that's occurring in the game. Walton just makes stupid buzz word comments.
 
Pasch burned him good last night when discussing the Trier PED suspension. Walton wasn't buying that some guy said "here take these pills" and Trier unknowingly l did it. Pasch said "especially if they come from you Bill" lol

Walton and jockich by far the worst I watched the Northwestern game after Iowa all he talked about was Indiana and Michigan. Mentioned them more than the teams playing and didn't mention Izzo and Michigan State once.

My wife wasn't paying attention and even said when she looked up "I thought Michigan was playing". I laughed for a good minute,
She's like" I've heard Michigan 100 times just figured they were one of the team".

He should only be allowed to bring up Indiana and Michigan at the most 3 times each,
If he does then fined 1000 each time during other games. Northwestern is on a historic season for them!! Talk about them!!
 
I really like Bill Walton, as long as he isn't doing a game I'm personally invested in. The stuff he comes up with is hilarious like.. have you ever spent time in the visiting room in a prison?

I also liked Walton advocating for people to fill out their brackets before the seeding is announced, that really ups the difficulty level.

Sounds like a lot on this board heard him...and of course that's what the production is all about. If Cobert can make it on late night. Walton is a shoo-in for college BB. PS. Nothing can help Vitale.
