OT: Clemson/Duke

"A play on the ball that went wrong....." announcer must have been watching a different angle than every one that was replayed! Guy looked like a DB putting on a sideline hit!

**** Duke. Laettner stomping on players, Grayson Allen and this:

Doesn’t justify last night, but saint Mike can get off his high horse

That was awful. No justification for that bullshit play

I do wish the Clemson player would have tackled Coach K too. I hate that rat faced POS

Maybe it was just a moment of indiscretion, I'm not familiar with the Clemson player, but you have to make him sit out at least a couple of games despite what the rule may recommend. Basketball was designed to be a non-contact sport.

I was looking in the rule book to see what it says about suspensions for F2s...was it official an F2 or was it listed as an F2 Technical? Per the rule book, an F2 Tech (yes, it is different than an F2) is subject to possible suspensions.

Also, I thought it was funny. At the start of the rulebook, they list what the rules committee identifies as Major Officiating Concerns.

Concern #1 - Handchecking/Body Bumping: Last season these fouls were not enforced consistently during the early part of the season. Enforcement of handchecking/body bumping early in the game sets the tone for reduced physicality in other parts of the game. These rules need to be enforced correctly throughout the entire season.

Concern # 2
Post play: Call the first displacement either by offense or defense especially on backdoor plays. Players will adjust.

Someone didn't get the memo

The statement he made was complete Bullsh!t
I've watched that over several times and he most definitely knew what he was doing. There was no intent to jump at all. Near the end he flat out gave an extra effort with the shoulder to basically flatten the Duke player. He's doing all he can to save face, but the tape don't lie.

I’m trying to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. He said he tried to stop….it’s tough to tell but are his feet sliding through the lane like he hit the brakes but they didn’t work? Or was that caused by getting tangled with the Duke player? Just glad the Duke player wasn’t injured.

I don’t think he tried to stop at all. Looked to me like he made an extra effort to hit him square with that shoulder . He was pissed he got the ball stolen from him and lost his cool . INEC from what I’ve seen
