Chris Norton's father, Terry was a part of the great Iowa City Regina basketball state championship teams in the late seventies. And his Uncle Randy teamed with Mark Gannon to also win state titles. Randy played basketball for Lute Olson at Iowa in addition to playing baseball for the Hawkeyes. He is now the head women's basketball coach at UAB and his son was a starting guard for the men's team that knocked the Clones out of the NCCA tourney this year.

Interesting info, Tank. Brings back memories of watching that great Regina team headed by Mark Gannon win the state title. I also remember Randy Norton from that team, and, of course, Mark and Randy both playing for the Hawks. I was totally unaware of this connection.
