OT: Holy Cow Batman! Bill Carmody's team punched his Dance Tix.

I thought this was pretty funny. Get canned from Northwestern in a conference that usually takes 6-7 teams a year to a one bid league and he gets in. Congrats coach Carmody.
 
Conference tournament is a good time to break a 5 game losing streak. They were 10-19 going into the tournament and were a 9-seed in their 10 team league.

That's pretty awesome.
 
I'm pretty thrilled for the guy. Wanted to see him get over the hump there just once even though he was often a thorn in our side. Just couldn't recruit there. Though sooner or later I think Collins can get a top level Chicago player with good grades (a Uthoff type) that can push them over the top.
 
Good for Carmody! If you look at the last 50 or so years of Northwestern basketball before him, you'll mostly see single digit win totals. Carmody was able to win in the teens pretty consistently and become a regular NIT participant near the end. Truth be told he did a damned good job with that program.
 
Always liked Carmody but my God I'm so happy we don't play a Princeton style offense

If we could run some of the fundamentals of this offense we wouldn't have gone on a losing streak and would be B1G champs. Guys need to find ways to cut to the basket, pass successfully and score. Don't want the Princeton offense, just fundamentals it is based on!

They were 0-9 in road games in conference. Then go on a 4 road game winning streak to win the tournament.
