OT - how the Hawks gonna spin this one?

Kirk will talk about execution, but Iowa also got out-schemed. Scheme matters. They wouldn't watch hours and hours of film if it didn't. You have to do things with backfield action and motion to keep defenders honest. NDSU's offense is a thing of beauty. Everyone is a threat. Run the jet motion over and over, sometimes give it to him, sometimes give it to the second man, sometimes QB keep and run, and sometimes keep and throw. You have to account for every option - keeps linebackers and safeties from just flying to the ball, which is what they do against Iowa.
No way to spin this. Embarrassing. Sickening. Vomit bucket inducing pukesville.
Blah blah blah... watch the tape, blah blah blah... clean a few things up, blah blah blah... practice hard next week. Same old blah blah blah after every game.
Gotta clean things up
You can clean up your room or your car. You can't clean up RBs smoking by your LBs. You need to recruit speed and talent. We do OK playing the likes of mid majors or mid level B1G teams. But we get killed when we play the big boys, or in the case of NDSU, have problems with high quality adolescents. We got through last year with a great regular season record due to a cupcake schedule. When it mattered, we didn't have the horses as in past Bowl games. This year our LB corps was considered by much of our fan base to be one of our strengths. The Rose Bowl showed it was our primary weakness and it is obvious this season to be the case. Athleticism is as important as size and strength and we are seriously deficient.
