OT: Lonzo Ball's younger brother scores 92 pts in HS game....

Los Osos coach Dave Smith called it "a joke," according to the Los Angeles Times. According to the Times, Smith said Chino Hills players fouled on purpose to prevent his team from running out the clock and stopping Ball from scoring more.

"That's wrong," Smith said, according to the newspaper. "It goes against everything CIF [California Interscholastic Federation] stands for. The Ball boys are very talented and great players, but it's embarrassing to high school athletics. I've been coaching for 35 years, and we've turned high school athletics into individualism.

Lets also not forget that he didn't make it past half court to play defense nearly the entire game. This is a joke to basketball and a joke to sports as we know it. Watching the "highlights", it was all about individualism and him using his "name" to get his points.
It got mentioned on Mike & Mike this morning. I think it was when they were interviewing Barkley. He said it was a joke as well, because the kid never even went back on defense. Kid scores 41 in the fourth quarter and never crosses half court. His coach should be suspended. Again are the inmates running the asylum?

Were the other kids in wheelchairs? No disrespect, but how does a kid score 92 points ... I couldn't do that even during my best days of nerf hoop.

Lonzo is quite the player and besides this brother there is one more younger one. Unfortunately their Dad is a total DBag. Interview few weeks ago posted online done with TMZ or someone and if someone could find a more arrogant jerk than him I'd be surprised.

Yeah he's certainly got a huge ego. It's kind of weird because Lonzo is a super unselfish player, I don't know what his high school stats were like but if he was a monster scorer in high school he's definitely left that behind when he moved up to the college level.

You are right about Lonzo. Thank goodness he didn't inherit some of Dad's personality and seem like a pretty decent kid. UCLA is actually quite fun to watch however with their current head coach just can't bring myself to cheer for them to win.

They really are, he's one of those guys where his numbers don't do him justice. His passing and ability to push the ball rubs off on the rest of the team. They can't defend at all, but when their offense is clicking it may not matter.

Here's some highlights. Basically, he didn't cross half court at times and was just getting the ball for layups.

I watched that and thought it was a joke. The kid just jogged to half court and then stood there. No defense at all, the kid shouldn't get credit for that. What a joke.

If the kid has skills I sure didn't see it here. In fact I saw him turn the ball over, travel (uncalled) and use his right hand several times on a left side layup.

Couldn't get past the haircut I guess.

In lay up lines before the game tonight, he never rebounded once. Just continued to shoot and act disinterested. Gottlieb was calling him out on twitter.

Those kids have more class than I did as a young person. I would have forced the officials to eject me. Kid would have fallen hard a few times.

That's embarrassing to the sport of bball and the coach should be suspended. I would never allow a kid not to play D. No D, no O.
