St. Thomas men’s basketball lands top-100 commit: Ahjany Lee
He’s a four-star recruit the 99th-best prospect in the country in the Class of 2022 according to 247 Sports.

Kinda crazy
Why? He seemed like a highly-rated recruit. His stock fell pretty hard this summer. Had recent GW and Lehigh offers, but Minnesota had moved on, and it is doubtful any P5 school would accept his commitment at this. Still an awfully good get for St Thomas and the Summit League.
Don’t know why schools moved on, just that they did. Minnesota got commits from local players that they had higher on their board than Lee, which left Lee in a bad spot. Hence the 11th hour offers from GW and Lehigh, but he decided to stay in Minnesota. Why? He seemed like a highly-rated recruit.
I suppose if you're going to jump competition levels, it helps to be in a metro area and state that historically produces some good talent. And add to that the player is attending a local catholic high school.I’ve never been to a St. Thomas game, but I hear that they are a blast. Almost a high school type of gym/atmosphere where the fans are basically on the floor and really into the game so that’s probably appealing
Also, having a chance to be the guy to take the hometown former D3 school into the NCAA tournament for the first time ever is a pretty cool idea. Gotta respect the decision
In the NIL era, is anything fishy anymore?Iowa was recruiting him. Smells fishy...
