If a kid did that crap on one of my teams he would have been sent to the locker room with the administrator on duty. The administrator on duty would have then collected every piece of school equipment he had in his locker and he would have been done.

Agree with pretty much everybody posting above. After watching it and hearing that the kid was one of two quarterbacks - that had to have been a planned targeted attack. I've coached kids that age and I would say someone on staff or group of kids got together ahead of time. Maybe there's some story but look like he was getting targeted by more than that one kid. Coach should have risked disqualification and halted that game until that other coaching staff had an answer.

There is no answer, or excuse, for this. #76's football career should be over. This video should be shown to the local DA, which would likely result in charges being filed. If this happened in the parking lot after the game or at the Mall, charges would be filed - why is the football field any different?

I am shocked, yet not surprised, by the response by the Waco coaches and the school. "We don't condone"? What kind of statement is that? How about, "We won't tolerate"?

In a day and age where I think far too many parents are too protective of their kids and/or the kids are too soft...that was freaking ree-dick-u-lus! The offender should be off the team for at least the balance of the season and I don't disagree that it would be appropriate to involve law enforcement, etc.

The coaches of the attackee did come to his defense promptly, which was good, but I would have stopped the game until the attacker was off of the field too. Wow, that is way over the line and the parents are right to be upset.
