Started out at ISU, was one of Randy Pete's future O'Brien/ Heisman winners, garnered late 'interest from Alabama and others' (after originally committing to App State). Spent last year splitting time as NDSU starter with a Solon native Cam Miller.
Anyway, joined Beamers Gamecock staff as GA, and is now going to end up playing again. (Former) ISU QBs seem to have quite the roundabout path. (Maybe just Jacob Park)

Gamecocks to start grad assistant Noland at QB
Zeb Noland, who had a year of eligibility remaining when he took a job as a graduate assistant on Shane Beamer's coaching staff at South Carolina, will be the Gamecocks' starting quarterback for the opener.
