Yates was on concussion protocol for a while and he is also having trouble managing his weight. He may need to grow up a bit before he is able to handle college life, if he is ever able to handle college life.

Also, it looks like Max Dean may be pretty decent, if he beat a number 4 ranked guy. IT will be interesting to see how he compares to his brother Gabe.

It feels like Meredith has been around for about 10 years.

No it is directed towards a kid who is not able to discipline himself and has had his parents directing his life. Now that he has to make his own decisions, he is not making the best ones - in regard to diet and training.

Yeah - that's how gabe came on the scene - just showing up and knocking off top guys

You seem to be way closer to the situation than most of us are .Yates has tons of talent no doubt about that

Very odd, because it is literally the opposite. He was a 2014 recruit, wrestled 133 as a TF and has only wrestled 2 years for Wyoming at 141. He has been around the least amount a Senior can be that competed as a freshman, soph and junior.

That’s the UNI team we are supposedly scared of? LOL

I don’t think I was ever “scared” of UNI but they are more formidable with Steiert, Holschlag and Yates in the lineup. That wasn’t Holschlag as indicated. Sounds like Yates is having some issues.

15-2 as a red shirt. And concussion protocol to start the season. Just Got to start practicing again. I don't think you know him personally. Just watched him compete I think

Yea that's my thought to just someone posting garbage about a kid that they don't even know.Bet he's never met the parents either because if he had he wouldn't be saying that.

The Maryland wrestling team (3-1, 0-1 B1G) captured its third consecutive victory on Saturday, knocking off Stanford, 18-15. The win surpasses Maryland's 2016-17 win total and is Maryland's second-longest winning streak since the Terps won four matches in-a-row in the 2014-15 season.

I think we take matches at 133,141,149,157(Bonus), 165, 197, HWY with the team we put out there on Friday. I believe Midkiff beat Wagner btw.

From Iawrestle.

In what was probably the most exciting match of the day NDSU’s (and Carter Lake, Iowa’s) McGwire Midkiff had his redshirt pulled by head coach Roger Kish. Midkiff did not disappoint his coach and came away with a 11-6 win over Jack Wagner. The match featured some really exciting scrambles, and Wagner has a style unlike any previous UNI 133 pounder in recent memory.

If you add up the points, this is how it went. I'll change it.

Pulling Midkiff shirt is interesting because theyve Cam Sykora wonder if hes hurt or whats going on there.Yates weighed in Sat at 141 but I was told he was under enough to where he can make scratch 133 for Vegas
