OU vs KU

Definitely one of the best games I've ever seen. No shame in losing that one. Those players just gave everything, and NCAA is smiling of how much they made off of 20 year olds.

Just another reason why the college game is so much better than the NBA.

The NBA can't sniff the passion and effort of a great college game, period.

LOL *I only say that since I don't have the laughing icon*. I guess passion makes up for all those ugly shots at the end of regulation, 1st OT, and 2nd OT. Nothing like seeing Bill Self run the same play three times without changing it (two guys in the corners standing, two guys on the wings standing, & one guard isolating for an airball).
NCAA can't sniff NBA in IQ, coaching, half court offense, schematic defense, and most of all, reffing.

Good for you, NBA sucks, season is way too long. Players take nights off, it is garbage until the playoffs then I'll tune in.

Why stop at those clichés people say? These are the people that clearly don't watch the Association, yet have an opinion on it, much like yourself. What about no defense, all thugs, and players don't try until the final two minutes? I'm sure you can have more opinions on something you obviously don't watch.

Tremendous offensive firepower on the floor.
Hield can get his shot off anytime he wants from any place on the floor.

I try to watch, just brutal regular season, enjoy the sh$t show I'll see ya after the Hawks Final 4 run.

More white guys on the floor and student sections going "oooohhhhh" the entire game game = more passion in a college bball fan's mind. Can't argue with you on something intangible like passion, but I guess that's what a college bball fan has to resort to when nearly every other factor tilts in the NBA's direction.

Are you really suggesting that you are unable to determine whether the fans at a college basketball game are more emotionally involved in the game than an NBA game?

As for the quality of basketball, of course the NBA is better. They are much more experienced and the small number of teams means that only the best of the best will be playing. With that said, that's actually one of the reasons I prefer college basketball. In college, the diversity in skill sets allows us to appreciate what certain players can do, rather than critiquing every little thing they can't do. For example, I knew guys like Horner, Brunner, Haluska, and Hansen were never going to be NBA stars, but in college we could appreciate Horner's elite passing and shooting ability, Brunner's ability to score in the post, Haluska's ability to shoot and drive to his right, and Hansen's ability to block shots. However, once players like this try to go to the next level we seem to only focus on the things they cannot do (too slow, too short, etc.). Even for players that do make it to the NBA, much of the focus is on how their skill sets are too limited for them to be considered elite. College basketball also allows for unique offensive and defensive systems that allow teams to utilize their strengths. In the NBA, virtually the entire game is centered around the pick and roll, and every possession feels like a cookie-cutter version of the prior possession.

There are plenty of reasons to enjoy college basketball more than the NBA and vice-versa. I won't belittle anyone for their difference of opinion.

To answer your first question, no, that's not what I was suggesting. And I agree, it is a difference of opinion.

If you like bball that is. If you're into sports entertainment nba's great!
I can't believe you could post this after watching the Iowa vs Nebraska game. Do you enjoy watching that garbage product Tim Miles calls an offense. All you have to do is go zone and Watson was dribbling like a retard trying to figure out what to do. It's nice to see guys consistently make open jump shots in the NBA. Iowa is not the norm, most college coaches don't know what they're coaching on the offensive end.

But in my opinion, the NBA is unwatchable.
