outstanding! 49 yard field goal that cleared the goal post with room to spare. Kidd averaged 47 yards on 5 punts with no return yards. The one he angled to the side line that Lazard caught as he stepped out of bounds was perfect. Hawkeye kicking game was a disaster in last year's ISU game. Come along way since then.

Kidd had a great day, a pleasant surprise. It looks like the new punt formation and better coverage is intended to match up with his relatively low kicks. Kudos to Chris White and company.

Whatever it is, in 2 games it's clearly better. Kudo's to Dillion Kidd and Co. Keep it up!

Now Desmond King needs a little work yet, but he's trying to be aggressive, so keep on working on it Desmond! That late return to midfield was MONEY!

HAWKEYE kicking game looked light years ahead of where it was at this time last year.

For me Koehn was never a concern when it came to distance it was that he seemed inconsistent at times.

On the other hand Kidd is a pleasant surprise. He has definitely come along ways sense last year.

Hats off to both guys. Great job yesterday.

Kicking game was great, but the special teams should know when to let a kickoff go out of bounds and get the penalty to get reasonable field position instead of trying to field it like they might a punt and have the offense start within the 5 yard line, even if CJB got used to doing a reasonable job starting from that field position.

I was really worried about Kidd's punting and afraid that the Cyclones would get some good returns. Pleasantly surprised that was not the case. Good job Dillion and the Hawkeye punt unit!
