Good advice. I try to live by the saying that you should make sure everything you say is true, necessary, and kind. That really cuts down on a lot of conversations though.

Can anybody really say if that situation with the other team's fan disparaging the recruit and attributing it to the Iowa fans was cleared up with that recruit's parents? I hate to think there's any lingering doubt in that parent's mind.

TEN that is the number. TEN wrestlers from each squad will make the lineup PERIOD!!! The sport is really BRUTAL on so many levels that it is scary REAL fans love it so much. I mean just about every thing about it makes NO SENSE to normal individuals!!! Almost impossible to explain to most who have never done it, or been a part of it as a parent, coach, etc.....

ANYONE who stays in this sport for any number of years I tip my hat to. For those that continue on in college, I give even more credit. D1 level brings it up another noche, and obviously you have senior level Worlds, the Olympics......

Todays world, crazy as it is, I believe maybe these kids deserve even more credit then before maybe???? they also have more FREEDOM to move around, so maybe this kid excels, maybe he helps the team win championships by being a great teammate, maybe he moves on.....

Point is, no need to trash em, and then try to EXPLAIN wrestling, WINNING, what IOWA needs....... pretending you are some kind of smart guy??? I mean we all thought we would go down to the local playground and grab some kids off the field who were rolling around scrapping and that would get us our next championship!!!!
