I don’t usually like to make assumptions but I think the top 4 contenders in the big ten put way too much energy into the conference tournament. Mentally exhausted themselves.

Covid year created many oddities in football and basketball. I watched USC at UCLA 6 weeks ago and you'd never believe those teams would be playing so well in March, but here we are.

Agreed but I think it was the whole season grind. Anyone that’s coached and played knows your legs wear down. That’s why I was curious on total games played.
I also think the night in night out reffing trains our players for a different game than the ncaas

Big Ten teams got too comfortable by easing away in Indy for an extra week versus all the other teams. Just like not being able to get up when you wake up too late.
