Painter to make a OV on June 27th and 28th

I notice quite a few of our targets have already said they plan to visit. Very nice.

I like the athleticism and versatility of Painter's game. And hopefully he sees the kind of success we've had with similar players.

Cautiously optimistic about landing Painter. Penn State has been in with him for quite a while and he appears to really like Villanova. Iowa has immediate vacancies though (Woodbury, Uthoff) and that is a valuable item for Fran to sell. Agree that the official visit is a big ..... much more than just the proverbial "foot in the door" IMO, Hopefully he can get some time with the '15 recruits.

Villinova is not listed as a school of interest nor have they offered, this can work in IA's favor getting him on campus before Villanova offers.

with Fran winning a game in the NCAA and the chance to start from day one this will only help in the recruitment of Painter. time will tell as I don't feel any of these players will commit before September.

6'5 Huerter, 6'5 Carr, 6'10 Painter, 6'11 Rakocevic, 6'8 Cook, 5'9 Moore and 5'11 Simpson gives Fran some pretty good options to choose from to fill those last 3 spots.

Omari Spellman being in front of Painter in Villanova's 2016 class is probably why he's still on the board. At Iowa he'd have a chance at starting immediately. He's visiting Villanova and Xavier before us in June. If Painter is uncommitted by the time he gets to IC, I think we could have a good chance.
