What are the best options for parking come game day? Especially if we want to arrive several hours early?

Lotsa parking in downtown Indy. If you are getting there several hours before the game, you shouldnt have an issue. I liked to park across from the JW Marriot because its easy to get out and walk is pretty reasonable...
I see the I Club Rally is somewhere downtown. Where should I park if doing an all day even downtown with bars and hitting the rally prior to game to be within walking distance of everything? I have never been to Indy so I am clueless.

Just grabbed a spot on park whiz less than a mile from all the event centers for 20 bucks.

I went on park whiz and reserved a spot across from the stadium at the IWS Realty lot. Can start tailgating at 12:15. Parking lot is 1/10 mile from the stadium. Printed my pass, cost $50.00.
Downtown Indy is very walkable. Lucas Oil is a couple blocks south of the main downtown area, but there are some big surface lots around the stadium. I have NO idea what they will charge for parking there (I just park in my work lot so I haven't looked to closely at the rates).
