Parking/tailgate spot for Northern Illinois game

Hey all, bringing my two boys to the game and we are looking for a nice spot to park and tailgate.
Anyone got something available for some out of state Hawk fans?

Hancher Auditorium lot is nice - take free bus . Drops off north of stadium. about a 5 minute walk

I agree Hancher is a good choice. Another prospect is next to the soccer field off Melrose by Iowa City West High. Also has a bus. Both have been free to park in the past.

There is always the Hawkeye Express from out by Coral Ridge Mall. Park at the mall and walk to the train platform. Do not know what the round trip cost is now. If you take the train, go early so you can be there for the team entrance into the stadium by the Kinnick statue and the walk up and down Melrose Ave.

The Coral Ridge Mall is a good place to go but no tailgating. The train ride is great. Probably around $10 to $15 round trip for the 4 mile ride. Then you can walk around the West side of the stadium and lots of people tailgating. Be sure to leave a couple of min. before the game is over to get back to the train before it is full. The second run is probably an hour after the first trip...
