pathetic display.

No fight (other than Wieskamp and Baer) in this team. Yeah, the calls did not go their way and the shots were rimming out, but how many offensive rebounds did we get? How many 50/50 balls did we get? How many bunnies missed? How many lazy passes with nobody going to meet the ball? When does this team get angry and start playing with an edge? We have some players who are not playing up to their potential consistently, if they don't turn it on now, their body of work is not going to indicate they are as good as they think they are!

Seemed like Dailey and Kriener were putting in effort. Till too-on the ground for a loose ball.

No pizza for you!

I’d have practice when they return to IC if I was Fran. Then go get ship faced at Wig and Penn w/ some Chicago style pizza
Reverse it. Have them stuff themselves with pizza, THEN make them run suicides until they puke.

I think what summarized how bad, lazy and just plain stupid effort we had happened in first few minutes of 2nd half. On a switch JBo is on Happ who gets the ball and no one helps out and gives up easy 2. Next trip down few feet off the block Happ gets it against cook and Garza doubles down. So JBo we don’t help but cook we do. Summed up the night for iowa’s pathetic performance.

I would like to see them call off practice for Friday and Saturday. The way things are going we couldn't do any worse and it might just help.
Not the worst thing they could do.
Really, are they going to learn any more of significance or develop in two more practices? Maybe just get entirely away from ball, except shooting on their own if they want, and relax and be 20 year old college kids for a couple of days. Minus the alcohol, drugs and legal problems hopefully.

Long overdue players only meeting.

This might be the right idea. Team looks absolutely pooped right now. This may translate as disinterest, but I think there is fatigue. Also beat up Fran all you want, but the wax museum figures we have for assistants do not exactly charge up the squad to any degree.

Except I am not giving Cook a pass. If he misses his first few bunnies (like he often does) then he goes into tin man mode on defense. He can leave this weekend for all I care. At least that way if this plane is going down, I can enjoy some last additional Baer minutes before it is all said and done.

Everyone else plays the same amount of games as Iowa does. Funny how somehow Iowa is fatigued and the team's that kick our ass down the stretch aren't. How is that possible? Answer = That is not the issue, it's an excuse.

We're collectively playing horrible basketball on a nightly basis in every facet of the game, and everyone on the team is contributing to that.

This......as I watched the game and I'm not sure if this was the game plan but they switch on top of EVERY play!!! Heck it's not even necessary 90% of the time. No matter who it is they switch.

What i have noticed is all the screens set around the 3 point line, but no guard EVER cuts to the basket and looks for a pass and a layup. Its like the 3 point line is a force field and they are not allowed to go inside that line!

Half of the teams that play lose. There is nothing to be ashamed of in being in that losing half now and then. But what is always shameful is quitting--on yourself and your team. And but for a couple of exceptions, this Iowa team has quit. Of all the basketball I've seen this season, I don't recall any team looking so completely lifeless, lost, and inept as Iowa has for the last several games. Seriously, you could grab five guys off the intramural courts in Iowa City and put up a better fight than these scholarship athletes have over the last several games. It's embarrassing and inexplicable.

Frankly, spending the money to send the team to Columbus and Madison would have been far better spent to help the Iowa City homeless and hungry. Forfeiting those games would have been less embarrassing. And now we have two more punishments awaiting. Then, we can hope, the NCAA committee will take a pass on Iowa and put an end to the misery.

I threw in the towel on this team after the senior day performance. Another gutless performance from a team of guys who talk big and play soft. Wisconsin is the definition of an overachieving team. Iowa has more talent IMO, but Wisconsin's coaching is exponentially better. The team plays hard, role players know what is expected and they absolutely clowned Iowa. Their coach understands they are not Kentucky and doesn't get into street races with their Ford Taurus. Another game where it looks the opponent has 7 defenders and we have 3 on offense.

I am not a fan of firing coaches but Fran has had long enough.
people can say KF is overrated and blah blah this and blah blah that. at least he constantly has some quality coaches on staff!
honestly I don't know a bunch about bball or our coaching staff, but to me it looks like they must be pretty f-in sad! either that or the players don't listen at all, which I guess is still on the coaches.....

Your statements are a much bigger embarrassment than any team ever has been in all of sports. Please stop posting and please stop following sports before you end up in the looney bin.
