Overall, I also think the shirt should stay on--we aren't winning the team title without Clark and full strength--but that was a nice win for Alex.

Either Marinelli or Young needs to start. We have our 3rd string guy out there right now, and the team will suffer because of it. Young just proved he could score points, and Marinelli is right there too.
I'm excited to think that Young and Marinelli have 5 years to wrestle each other every day.
Agree from what I've just seen you have 2 guys that have the potential to AA @ 165 and right now neither is starting
Low AA is not many points. You need sure top 4 or 5 to be worth it unless you think the race is that close that a few points can win it. I don't think we are that close right now.
In an ideal world I would absolutely redshirt, but I'm still open minded to the redshirt being pulled. He beat a ranked kid by two takedowns in his 6th collegiate match. I don't know specifics on Clark, but if he comes back and is capable of being the guy he has been the last couple years, we need to go for it. Neither Marinelli or Young are going to be 4x champs, so lets go for the win this year.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Alex Marinelli is far more than a practice room warrior.

I agree with this. If Clark was going to be Clark I would say pull away. But alas, this isn't going to be the case.
Wow looks like a different Alex Meyer out there , this one looks like he rather wrestle with a lead after the first. Good win there for the bad guys
I didn't say he was. What I'm saying is practice has no merit in an actual match. Marinelli doesn't have a huge body of work. Young participated in far more events so it's easier to identify how good he actually is. You can also tell how much he's improved over the years.
